Entering your "Unique License Key" in ZoneAlarm programs.

When you buy a ZoneAlarm product at a retail store, the box contains the software plus a Serial Number.  If you purchase an Upgrade or simply Renew your License, you also get a Serial Number.
You can start using the ZoneAlarm product immediately but, within 15 days, you must use this Serial Number to obtain a "Unique License Key" and unlock your product for permanent use.

First, visit the Manaccom Website's special ZoneAlarm area: http://www.manac.com.au/zone/ – and enter your details, including your Serial Number, into an online form.
Once you have done this, you will receive a Unique License Key – displayed online plus confirmed by email.

Open your new ZoneAlarm program by double-clicking on the ZA icon in your System Tray – that's the small part of your Windows Task Bar down at the bottom right, by the clock display.

Under "Overview", then the "Product Info" tab on the main screen, you'll see a panel named "Licensing Information".  A Key is already entered – but it's good for just 15 days after installing.  Click the "Change Lic." button (circled here) to access the next screen...

Delete the existing 'generic' license key completely, then enter your new one.

We strongly recommend using a copy-&-paste method to avoid any typing or transcription errors (...avoid confusing a letter l with the numeral 1, or letter O with numeral 0, for instance)!  COPY the Unique License Key from either the webpage where it is first displayed, or from the email that is sent to you in confirmation... then PASTE this into the entry screen.  Just put your cursor in the first entry box, and the long License Key will correctly overflow into all the subsequent boxes.

Now click the "Apply" button.

ZoneAlarm has now been completely and successfully registered.

...and that's it!

You will now be on your one-year license.  To verify this look at the details in the Support and Update Information panel of the Main / Overview screen.

It should say "Product Update expires in 366 days" as you can see above.
(NOTE: the number of days remaining is calculated based on the time you registered, so the number of days remaining on the subscription will be dependent on when you registered).
